Deviation Actions
In the Insidious Chapter 2 Contest, we challenged you to create artwork depicting seemingly everyday situations that can terrify us to our very core, a twist to "normal" daily experiences that suggests danger is always closer than you think.
Our judges had the terrifying task of selecting the top twenty-five artworks, which will now be sent to Insidious Chapter 2 director James Wan to select the final three winners. Congratulations to the 25 Semi-Finalists below!
The remaining 22 Semi-Finalists will receive:
- Three-Month Premium Membership
- 2,000 deviantART points
Please note: If during the finalist judging, any one of the Semi-Finalists becomes ineligible or is disqualified under the Official Rules, the Semi-Finalist judges will replace the disqualified entry with a new selection to be considered by the final judges.

Honest Art Challenge
Different team members are taking over the @Community group and this week it's @danlev! Copy and paste these 20 questions about being an artist... and answer them honestly! A common art advice I find hard to follow: Practicing every day is one I'm working on right now but especially as you get older and you have more "responsibilities" (aka kids) it can be hard to carve out time so I've started scheduling doodle time! 3. My biggest art-related fear: Currently, that I will ruin my line art with my colouring :D 4. A project I've been putting off: Finishing some art cards for friends (and shipping the gift I made for @Heidi) 5. A subject I feel like I'll never master: Hands.. everything forever will have paws or hands in their pockets :D 6. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate my skills as an
Self Survey
@TheLaurenVerse has thrown down the gauntlet over at @Community and challenged us all to share a little bit about ourselves! Meaning of my username "moonbeam" had been my handle since the internet began but it was taken on DA so I added my favourite number and here we are :D One Meal to Rule Them All I love food but I'm pretty boring when it comes to something I would want to eat every day for the rest of my life :) I think it comes down to a comforting bowl of oatmeal with maple syrup or a trusty peanut butter and jelly sandwich -- never disappointing! Best Gift Ever This is an extremely difficult question because I honestly feel like most gifts are pretty special but let's get sentimental and say my little bug -- he wasn't supposed to be possible but here he is anyways  Job I Wanted When I Was Little I wanted to be a librarian and made a little library for my friends to borrow books from on my front porch :nerd: Skill I Want to Learn I

*Starts rocking back and forth in the corner and muttering incoherently* They're doing this on purpose. They are doing this ON PURPOSE! I am slowly going insane! This whole trial has been contrived expressly to drive us slowly but certainly towards our inevitable demise through the long, cold, claustrophobic tunnel of creeping insanity! But the big joke is that we are DRIVING OURSELVES there! It's............ IT'S........ INSIDIOUS!!!! ................I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE, DA! I SEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I am on to your insidious tricks. WELL I AM NOT FALLING FOR IT!" *Runs off naked and screaming incoherent gibberish at the top of my lungs*
