If you've spent any time around me, you've probably come to learn that I'm a little intense. Part of this I attribute to my OCD, I'm ridiculously detail oriented but I'm also insanely passionate and frankly it can be exhausting! That's not to say I can't have fun, I have tons of fun.. sometimes too much fun
and as a result, I seek balance in a number of forms. I practice Yoga and meditation, I read, I run, and currently I've taken up making stuffed animals ;D I will upload pictures of them soon, I promise
However, this journal is about my new relaxing technique! Watching fish. This weekend, I added a fish tank to my office and purchased Betta Fish (aka Siamese/Samurai fighting fish). I know what you're thinking, fighting fish aren't relaxing! However, I have modified a tank divider so they can't see each other and allowing me to keep two because I like things in pairs. They are colourful and beautiful and respond to my movements. So without further ado, I'm pleased to introduce Katsumoto (pink) and Hattori (blue)
Apologies for the camera phone picture but it was convenient
I'm not used to having fish but I have to say they are immensely calming. Do you have fish? if so what kind??
Bonus question: Do you know the references for their names?
