Our staff judges pored through thousands of portraits featuring Barnabas, a dashing vampire played by Johnny Depp in Tim Burton’s latest film, Dark Shadows. It wasn’t easy but we finally narrowed it down to these special 10 Semi-Finalists for the Dark Shadows Barnabas Portrait Project!
In addition to cash awards, points, backpacks and devWEAR, the Grand-Winner as well as Second and Third place winners will be made into framed prints and presented to Tim Burton as a gift from the deviantART community. Our Seven Deadly Sins contest allowed participants to enter in to a battle between doing what's right and giving into temptation.

In the end, every one of the Seven Deadly Sins had a winner. The grand-prize winner, chosen by the worldwide Chairman of Fotolia, Oleg Tscheltzof, will be flown out to see the advertisement printed on a billboard in San Francisco, CA and pocket $1500 USD. The six remaining finalist ads will also have their submissions printed and displayed around the city.

Daily Deviations UpdateHappy Monday Morning

I started this morning by signing something "Moonbam13" so either this typo means I need more coffee, or this week is going to be BAMTASTIC!
I'm rooting for the latter

I wanted to post a quick update on changes to Daily Deviations. It is important to note that these changes have not been hard-coded so my team is manually following these new guidelines. This means that errors can and likely will occur until the coding is complete, your patience and understanding is appreciated

The following guideline changes are in effect:

The 3-month rule is now the 6-month rule, meaning that it must be at least 6-months since the last time an artist received a daily deviation. (This was an overwhelmingly popular suggestion from the community and I agree, it's a good one!)

Daily deviation selectors may only select one daily deviation per day maximum. This has been put in place to focus on Quality vs Quantity.

Many people have been requesting that this feature be extended to Journals as well. We're happy to tell you that we just added this functionality!
