I certainly hope that you will indeed achieve these new goals of yours - selfishness is really not so bad a thing as people present it, it is, in fact, the act of survival, one's value of him or herself and holding of that as priority - to fill one's own necessities and desires is not evil except when done to the outright detriment of others.
A few things that I desire:
I: Security - financially, physically, and mentally
II: Freedom [this includes self-sufficiency, extra time, and various firearms ]
III: The ability to write and draw out the images and stories in my head
IV: Contentment - I've had it many times and I want it again
V: To become closer to those who are my most recent friends, perhaps to add to my inner circle of 2-3.
VI: To escape my lethargy
VII: To excel in all that I do
VIII: To take some good photographs of my ratties
IX: To be a good person, like * Moonbeam13 - though maintaining my apathetic abilities should I need to revert back to "heartless bitch mode"
- To go back to school (illustration or animation), then further a career out of it.
- Become fluent in french, then take more languages (japanese, german, sign).
- Finish my piano to a compositors level, then take violin (yes it's hard, no I don't care).
- Take any type of dance lessons, then take some more.
- To be able to touch my toes, then become crazy flexible.
And I should probably sneak in:
- Get HEALTHY, physically and mentally, then make sure it becomes a lifestyle.
I want to finish the first set before I'm 30, then worry about the 'then's after.
Unfortunately a lot of them take time and/or money... I've had those on my list for quite some time now and am constantly figuring out a way to get them done.
I'm glad to see you being a teeny bit selfish for a change, you absolutely need to do it and totally deserve it. Here are mine, a mixture of short and long term goals really.
1. To find a job (preferably one I don't hate, but at this point pretty much anything will do)
2. To move out of here
3. To not have to worry how the bills are going to be paid
4. To always keep improving myself (and my art) and not give up
5. To treasure every day and remember that everything in life is special (this is the tough one!)

Anyhow, how are those for crazy selfish? ; P
