Starships are the shield, sword and signature for the pilots of
EVE. They are created both to tear down entire empires and to
gather and transport the resources needed to build anew. What
new machine will you bring to the warfront? Will yours be a
craft of elegance and beauty? Will the mere presence of it
prove more intimidating than any arsenal a pilot could load into
its bays? Design a starship and enter it into the EVE Online
Create A Starship Contest for a chance to have your dream
ship become a reality. The 1st Place winner will have their
ship added to the premiere space MMOG (Massively Multiplayer
Online Game), EVE Online where countless pilots will build
and fly the winners' creation.

Entrants will need to provide their entry from all six orthogonal views in order to
qualify for further consideration as a potential winning entry.

Everyone who submits an eligible entry will receive
a special gift from EVE Online!
Entry must be received by 11:59:59 PM (PT) on
October 13, 2010 and be submitted to the Contest
gallery on www.deviantart.com "Click here."
- Entrants must be at least 13 years old;
- Entries must be in GIF, PNG, or JPG file format;
- Entries must depict a starship suitable for integration into EVE Online
(Examples: image,
video);
- The depiction in the Work must be of a Starship which, if it were in
use in the game's universe, would have an equivalent size of 50
meters to 1000 meters in length proportioned to the human form.
- Entrants must indicate the length of the starship on their entry;
- Entries must be made by Entrant exclusively for this contest;
- Entries may not use any watermarks or distinguishing artist marks (such as signatures);
- Examples are provided for inspiration only. Entrant may not use the Examples in their work.
- You may submit more than one entry;
- Online entries only, hard copies not accepted;
- You must be a member of deviantART to enter.
Membership is free. - Entrants will need to provide six (6) views of their entry (all in the same image) – left, right, front, back, top and bottom. The six views are to provide accurate representation of details, measurements, and shapes. The six views should be clean, uncolored line drawings / illustrations / schematics of the exterior hull of the starship. If you'd like, you can include a fully shaded / colored view (a seventh view) of the starship in the entry as well.
Official Rules
Your work will be judged on the basis of Originality, Creative Presentation of the Task, and Technical Artistic Skill.
15 Semi-Finalists will be selected by a panel of full-time deviantART Staff.
From the 15 Semi-Finalists, the final three winners will be selected by the EVE Online creative team!
