Deviation Actions
deviantART's Community Relations Team provides a unique collective effort that seeks to create and sustain collaborative relationships among deviants and to develop innovative opportunities within the global art industry. These relationships are meant to provide and encourage opportunities to foster creative genius. The CR Team acts as a window of information for the community on how to utilize deviantART in a way that will empower and enable themselves as respected and successful artists.
Our ultimate vision is a community of artists that come together unified and strengthened by sharing the belief that they hold the artistic power to create and shape their own success. In order to realize our vision, our mission must be to exceed the expectations of our community, whom we view as partners, and we will accomplish this by committing to our shared core values. Our core values are listed in FAQ #84: What are the Core Values of the Community Relations Department?

1. Fond Farewells & Change
Every person that comes into Community Relations, enhances and touches the community in a positive way during their time - and they should be celebrated for their efforts and love for the community.
With that, we give our love, adoration and eternal gratitude to CookiemagiK, oilsoaked, DCZed, dandelgrosso, LawrenceDeDark, orangefruits, Synfull, AIBoobPicsForSale, cmptrwhz and Kitten-of-Woe
Please also help me welcome the new additions (or re-additions) to our team Damaged927, Katerina423, and rydi1689
2. 2010
As we wind down 2009, I'm looking forward to what 2010 will bring. We've come a long way as a community and with the launch of groups, I truly believe we will begin to really see the fruits of our labors. I will be focusing the first month of the year on completing a variety of category structure changes and filling in the gaps in our Volunteer team. I will also be focusing heavily on the groups I'm running communityrelations, fella and deviantHEART as well as the groups I'm an active member of deviant365 to name but one While we've not shared the purpose for all of these groups yet, all will become clear in the new year.
Engage, empower, encourage, promote and educate are going to be the primary focuses for 2010 and I hope you'll all come along for the ride
I will be posting new feedback forums on my page for the purpose of conversation and to encourage you all to become a part of decision making process. Once these are in place I will let you know
Thank you for a superb 2009, our community continues to inspire me and I believe that 2010 is going to knock our socks off
Happy New Year Everyone

Honest Art Challenge
Different team members are taking over the @Community group and this week it's @danlev! Copy and paste these 20 questions about being an artist... and answer them honestly! Title your journal "Honest Artist Challenge". 1. A genre or style I've tried and decided isn't for me: Digital art and I aren't really suited, I like to physically hold a marker 2. A common art advice I find hard to follow: Practicing every day is one I'm working on right now but especially as you get older and you have more "responsibilities" (aka kids) it can be hard to carve out time so I've started scheduling doodle time! 3. My biggest art-related fear: Currently, that I will ruin my line art with my colouring :D 4. A project I've been putting off: Finishing some art cards for friends (and shipping the gift I made for @Heidi) 5. A subject I feel like I'll never master: Hands.. everything forever will have paws or hands in their pockets :D 6. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate my skills as an
