The entries for Wacom's "Bring Your Vision to Life: Dreams" contest were incredible. We'd like to give a big "Thank you" to everyone who took the time to share their hopes, dreams, and aspirations with us. We'd also like to thank the judges from Wacom, who were tasked with the very difficult job of choosing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

It is with great pride that we announce the following winners, including the one chosen by you, the deviantART community! Let's see who will be getting their hands on an Intuos4 as well as tons of other great prizes.

These are all so lovingly beautiful to my eyes and imagination, I feel inspired to let myself go (within reason of art). It's like all images of imagination in all the winners' art. I was amazed at the the things that I saw at first glipms, and they all caught my attention as beauty and truth to the mind of imagination; I just hope you all keep drawing the most wonderful drawings you want. Don't stop the images from coming! ^^

Congrats! I really do like 3rd place's picture - cute AND inspiring. I believe 2nd place was well deserved despite what people say. The artist executed everything the judges were looking for with both skill and style. It even juxtaposed the argued idea of what a "dream" is. 1st place is awesome. Well deserved, I think.

Of course, I'm sad. I think if I already owned a Wacom tablet, I'd rock the contest. But I don't. So I suck.

While I am highly impressed with the artistic skills of the artists who won the competition, I'm rather annoyed with the fact that they didn't really follow the original requirements. If you paid attention, you know that they had said dreams to become a doctor and such. Not a dream I had last night about being able to fly. >.> (Well the second one is, but otherwise not really.) That and I'll admit I found a few other works more impressive. This is not, however, in any way the fault of the artists who won, so congrats in any case.

I don't think the solution is being upset or criticizing these phenomenal artists.

It IS disappointing that the people who could really use a Wacom to blossom as artists and CAN'T afford a Wacom in the first place... never have a chance in these contests.

I think the solution is to have a Wacom contest that requires only traditional, oekaki, or other such artwork that doesn't use a Wacom. The requirement to not already own a Wacom would never flesh out and be too difficult to "investigate", but perhaps requiring a Wacom-less entry would help.

I wish the judges considered that further, I admit.

Congrats, winners! The entries are beautiful. Sell me your Wacom? =p

But if digital artists weren't allowed participate, that's a huge group of deviants that would be left out :(

I don't think it would necessitate excluding all digital artists. Like I said before, oekaki and pixel and other forms of digital artwork (which many digital artists have experimented with or enjoy, and don't require them to own a tablet) would be fine. It is just strange to see so much Wacom artwork... for a Wacom contest... to win a Wacom tablet... to... what? Sell on eBay? Why don't they just give out cash, if that is the point?

Like I said, these artists are phenomenal. But because of those fortunate enough to already afford tablets and Photoshop... there is a HUGE group of deviants left out already!

I can gaurantee that at least 60% of people doing digital didn't buy Photoshop.

What's the point of getting another tablet when you already have one? Wacom should give other people a chance.

Excuse me? That's not charity. Otherwise what? Lets make a rule - only those who can't paint can participate? Give the ones who such at painting a chance of winning! Right!

I was hoping for exposure and a point in a portfolio, also my brother does not have a tablet f.i. everybody seems to forget it was not only about the tablet.
