your journals are always so delightfully deep y'know?

""I don't see the world the same way anymore. I see it as a multitude of lines and colours and compositions. Everything is a photograph waiting to happen and I'm aware of it. This was a bit of a head trip when it started.""

yeah, i've had that ever since i studdied graphic design. it's like theres a permanant peice of tracing paper over my vision and as i look at objects the shapes that make them up are sketched out on it - almost so vividly that i can see them visually, if you get what i mean.

of course it makes seing the beauty in everything a little harder if i've gotta concentrate to turn off the 'technical overlay' and just see the object. but on the upside i get to drive my family mad by instantaniously de-constructing pictures that they are still trying to 'degest'.

perhaps i should be an art critic or something...

I get what you're saying :) At the moment I'm enjoying the beauty with the grids so I'm not stir crazy yet it's still new. I imagine there must be a way to focus beyond it.

Next lesson young jedi :P

yeah its amazing how learning new things in art can affect your perception. i watched kill bill shortly after starting photography and was amazed at the cinematography in that movie. i have a whole new respect for cinematographers now. kubrick and taratino are the best cinematographers that come to mind as of right now. Its jus cool how such a thing can comepletely change the way i watch movies now. I still hate john woo. lol.

glad to see you re-opened your eyes. show us what you see! :D

kubrick was always one of my favorites, his perceptions were so demented and yet he could get inside your brain and make you see it and understand it. Tarantino is just freaking hilarious. He's a prime example of a person who truly loves what he does and has fun with it. He makes what he wants, if people like it great, if they don't.. screw em.

Fabulous! Welcome to a photographers/artists world! Now if I can just get my finace' to be able to go through such a change in perseptions, then he can really understand my world even more then he does now!
(I am secretly going to teach him to paint and photograph, shhhhh do nto tell him though, so far it is working)

Ok three questions huh?

:bulletpurple: Now that you have a new perspective, do you also have new feelings? Like, can you now feel the same feelings of which you are taking a photograph of?

:bulletpurple: What is your goal now that you have a new perspective?

:bulletpurple: What benefits has seriously studying photography given you in your everyday life, not just creative life?

Heavy hitter with the questions!

Now that you have a new perspective, do you also have new feelings? Like, can you now feel the same feelings of which you are taking a photograph of?

In some respects some of the feelings are new but I'd say on the whole my emotional self was already at this point, it was my physical and mental self that had to catch up. I'm not sure if that answers you :)

What is your goal now that you have a new perspective?

To show you what I see in vibrant and glorious detail :)

What benefits has seriously studying photography given you in your everyday life, not just creative life?

Ahh there have been many. It's like being awakened and seeing and experiencing the world all over again from a whole new perspective. Consciousness is probably the biggest, always being aware instead of just going through the motions. I'm always afraid I'm going to miss something important so I'm constantly aware of what's going on. I'd say for that point alone, I'll enjoy life more :)
