I was thinking that we needed a good dose of love. However, we need real good ol' community love, so I was reluctant to tie it in with anything Valentine's related and then the angels sang (I got an update from alerts I watch) that said "It is Random Acts of Kindness Week"

So I challenge everyone, from members, volunteers and staff, to participate in Random Acts of Kindness. How you may ask?

Get Involved in the Valentine's Charity Event!

1. Find a Random deviant and watch them.
2. Leave comments and helpful critiques on artwork.
3. Give someone a hug.
4. Extend a hand to someone in need. Give your full attention and simply listen.
5. Share a funny story.
6. Send a thank you note.
7. Make someone a deviantMIX.
8. Welcome someone new to the site.
9. Pay a compliment to someone who has earned it.
10. Promote someone in your journal or a news feature.
11. Respond to a forum posting with a helpful response.
12. Tell the people you love why you love them.
13. Create a stamp promoting kindness and submit it to Contests & Projects -> Events -> Projects & Clubs -> Kindness Stamps (or use the links below)

Those are 13 ideas and I plan on incorporating all of them in the next week (Wednesday to Wednesday) and then maintaining it to ensure I do at least one EVERY DAY. It is actions like this that remind us we are the best community on the planet and I, for one, want to nurture that.
