1. which historical figure or otherwise famous person do you identify with the most?
Queen Elizabeth 1
2. what is it that you do best?
I'm a great listener.
3. how are you different now than how you were five years ago?
I'm more stable I was doing multiple jobs, and quite scattered with no real direction. Through the miracles of heavy medication and electroshock.. just kidding. Giving myself permission to follow my passions and having friends and family that support that have helped ground me.
Must be a blast crossing that threshold, and actually seeing the world. I can feel I'm almost there... but it's not automatic. Seems amazing that Superkev could do so much for you, so quickly. I think I'de like to meet him.
Anways, 3 questions, oh goodie.
1) If you saw a tragic car accident, and paramedics had just arrved to help, what would you do (would you take some photos)?
2) Would you answer (honestly) even the most ridiculus and personal questions here if someone asked them?
3) Should I get a $2000 camera NOW or wait till it's cheaper, using the money I got from OSAP?
I'm thinking of a Canon EOS-20D ...
I'll be using it for my amateur photography. Increasing the fun factor (and spending potential, lenses will become quite attractive).
Why did you think of the 20d? Aside from the fact that it came out yesterday, if you're looking for something to fool with you can do that cheaper and just as well with another camera, I'm curious what brought you to that one?

Oh, because it just seems amazing is all...
And I know what you mean, but when I buy I'm looking to the future, I would want to invest something that could last me a few good years and keep up with the standard.
The previous EOS model is just as attractive to me now also, and the two don't have any drastic differences as far as improving my photography would go (ie, more zoom, more macro detail).
Also, I'm not thinking of purchasing just now, I'll stick to my little A80 for some time, perhaps after this school year in about 6 month I will buy a DSLR of sorts.
Is there any less known brand sporting decent DSLRs? I don't exactly like the prospect of being dependant on Canon for all my camera needs.
The digital rebel 300d is the least expensive and can probably do all you want it to and more. If you want to get into something more pro you may want to consider getting your hands on the 10d. Now that it's been replaced by the 20d it's likely it'll drop in price and really the 20d isn't that much more of an improvement. I wasn't a big Canon lover but there are some undisputable facts. They make better lenses and they have less noise. Those two points alone are pretty much enough to almost swing me. Granted Nikon makes a sweet dslr and that's the route I had planned on taking but the reality of it is that the d70 is a lot more money then it's really worth. However, if you already have Nikon film SLR lenses, Nikon would be the logical route to take.

No, it's someone's tragedy.. if I can help great, but I wouldn't take pictures.

Most likely, yes, I'm crazy like that

It depends on the camera and what you are using it for. Give me that information and I'll continue my answer.
