Panda Family by Eyth

Since the dawn of DeviantArt, deviants have been submitting tutorials and sharing wisdom thus promoting and encouraging the artistic growth of fellow community members. This practice is part of what makes our community the best in the world and who better to launch a comprehensive tutorial suite than your Community Volunteers?  The volunteer team is comprised of elite artists and wise sages who have come together to create an amazing collection of tutorials for you.. for FREE!

The "Learn This" suite of tutorials is our pride and joy and we are SO excited to finally be able to share them with you!

The Suite

Learn This: Stock and Resources!Welcome to a CV project that has been years in the making. YES! Even before we knew we would be volunteers--ages before we even knew DeviantArt existed--we were working on this collection of tutorials to bring only the most refined and technologically advanced methods to your interweb doorstep."

Today, I Cassy-Blue am going to show you how to make the BEST model stock photos with a few handy tips. The other cv's are also doing super awesome tutorials about their galleries, so you tots have to go and check them out to learn more :giggle:.

After much experimentation with stock photos and modeling I have discovered the key to great model stock lays in the expression of the model. Yes, that's right. The face makes or break it. I have discovered the holy grail of stock image modeling.  It's sooo easy too! Just press your lips together like a fish. No, that's not quite it. Like a duck! That's right. And bam you're 100% model
Learn This: Realistic Pixel FruitWelcome to a CV project that has been years in the making. YES! Even before we knew we would be volunteers--ages before we even knew deviantArt existed--we were working on this collection of tutorials to bring only the most refined and technologically advanced methods to your interweb doorstep.

In the spirit of spring around the corner we will explore how to pixel some realistic fruit, more specifically a juicy, ripe strawberry.

Step 1
Equip yourself with your pixel program of choice and select the pen tool. Start by plotting in the basic shape of a strawberry. Keep the shape loose and random to make it appear more realistic. Nature knows no flawless shapes.

Step 2
Next, pick some vibrant colours for the leafy part and the flesh, and apply generously. Make sure to stay within the lines, we don't want this to look like a child's drawing, but like a high quality pixel.
Learn This: Ultimate ManipWarning: this is an april fools day joke!
Welcome to a CV project that has been years in the making. YES! Even before we knew we would be volunteers--ages before we even knew DeviantArt existed--we were working on this collection of tutorials to bring only the most refined and technologically advanced methods to your interweb doorstep.

In this extensive tutorial I am going to show you how to build your own ultimate manip.
The ultimate manip requires only five specific ingredients:
1. Pretty girl in dramatic pose (irreplaceable). Use faestock if you can!
2. Forest (cemetery also works)
3. Full moon (a big one)
4. Pretty hair (lots of it)
5. Ravens (the more the merrier)
As it happens, I prepared everything here:
Black Dress Bob 19
Cemetery Premade
Learn this: Add fancy Bokeh to a Macro PhotographWelcome to a CV project that has been years in the making. YES! Even before we knew we would be volunteers--ages before we even knew deviantArt existed--we were working on this collection of tutorials to bring only the most refined and technologically advanced methods to your interweb doorstep.
In my case I will show you how to add that sparkling bokeh effect to your Macros!!!
Let's start!!!

1.- First of all import your image to dA Muro:
2.- Add a new layer on top of your image by pressing the + button, then select the brush tool and the brush called Scatter. Select also a color that matches your image and the size and opacity, which should be around 50%:
3.- Start painting over the background zone of your image:
4.- And Voilá!!!! There you have your image with a cool bokeh!!!

Want to Get Published?
This tutorial will cover the basics of submitting to your favorite literature magazines! It is guaranteed to grant you access to the wonderful world of being a published author. Read on to learn all the things you need to become highly successful in this exclusive field.
Step One: DO NOT READ
A lot of lit mag websites will ask that you read their publications to get an idea of what sort of work they look for. THIS IS A TRAP. Don't fall for it! They're basically saying "hey, we don't know what we like, but here are some things we've published before, so maybe get some ideas from there?"
We all know that being i
Learn This: Creating an Original CharacterWelcome to a CV project that has been years in the making. YES! Step 1: Find an Already Published Story
This step is super important.  Don't skip it!  Find a story you enjoy — it could be a movie, TV show, story, or comic.  Once you've found one, go on to step 2.
Step 2: Become emotionally attached to a character.
You've found the perfect story, great!  At this point you've undoubtedly obsessively read/watched/d

Learn This: How to Prove you Are a TRUE FanWelcome to a CV project that has been years in the making. YES! Even before we knew we would be volunteers--ages before we even knew DeviantArt existed--we were working on this collection of tutorials to bring only the most refined and technologically advanced methods to your interweb doorstep.
So I was thinking I could learn y'all some epic art tips, or since we're all fans here, I thought it would be WAY more fun to show you how to prove you are a true fan (even a number 1 fan!) to anyone who questions your dedication to hot fictional characters.
I wanna prove that I'm a true fan :eager: What do I do?
1. Change your screen name.  If your screen name is not related to your fandom you have already failed because no one will be able to tell at a glance how much you love your fandom!  (Yes I am a failure :cries: Don't be me!)  And DA's taglines are just too easy to miss.  The screen name is in the big letters on your page, it's

Even before we knew we would be volunteers--ages before we even knew DeviantArt existed--we were working on this collection of tutorials to bring only the most refined and technologically advanced methods to your interweb doorstep.
morbidman187 Here, your fearless chat demi god with wisdom for your brains!
I will give you some of the best tips for making friends in chats that I have learned from many years of chat experience both before and after becoming a Community Volunteer.
:stare: If you don't follow these tips you are probably doomed to a friendless chat life.
1. First thing you must do as soon as possible, is announce whatever fandom is currently most important to you.
This may seem like it will isolate yourself from other users and it will but they suck and you only want the ones who like what you like anyway.
Example:
*** You have joined #ThumbHub *

JenFruzz here, reporting for duty :salute:
Today I bring all of you nature photographers an in-depth look at how to add a unique spin to your flower shots. We're nature people, we love flowers. Find me a nature photographer with zero flower photographs. DO IT. Just kidding. Don't do it. There is no time to waste!
Flowers are everywhere... How do we--as upstanding APN photogs--possibly create something fresh and unique?!
FLOWERS... AND SPACE.
Yes, this tutorial will teach you how to create otherworldly flower photography that will have your watchers flocking to your gallery like a herd of sheep being chased by a Shetland Sheepdog. You've seen beaut
Learn This: Making AnthrosWelcome to a CV project that has been years in the making. YES! Even before we knew we would be volunteers--ages before we even knew deviantArt existed--we were working on this collection of tutorials to bring only the most refined and technologically advanced methods to your interweb doorstep.
So you want to make an Anthro Character?  You could make a character out of almost anything!  A teapot!  A rocking chair!  A hot rod!  All they need is some personality.
For sake of simplicity in this epic tutorial we will be doing an animal.  After all, that Zoo movie came out and people NEED to make OC's for it so here we go.
Step 1
Start off by making a basic human shape.  Don't stress about anatomy that can be done at a later time.

Step 2
The animal we will be doing is a cat because cats are cool.  Make a new layer in your program and define the body more as

Even before we knew we would be volunteers--ages before we even knew deviantArt existed--we were working on this collection of tutorials to bring only the most refined and technologically advanced methods to your interweb doorstep.
In this Lit-centric tutorial I put together thanks to my genius gray cells, we will be exploring the darkest of all wisdoms, the one true gift we all aspire to... the skill that refines all skills.
Of course, I'm talking about the art of critiquing Literature
Critique is an essential part of every artist's growth, both giving it and receiving it improve our own writing quality that much more - but how should you do it to get the most out of it? Worry not, here I am to save your day and let's be real, your full writing career.   Learn This: Do's and Don't's of #devartWelcome to a CV project that has been years in the making. YES! Even before we knew we would be volunteers--ages before we even knew deviantArt existed--we were working on this collection of tutorials to bring only the most refined and technologically advanced methods to your interweb doorstep.
As we all know #devart is our main hub of activity on the chat network. New people, old people, ugly people and leftover staff that have nothing better to do join this room on a regular basis.
But how should one act in this room to get along?
This article will help those old and new to #devart learn the best way to follow the rules.
For a companion on how to make friends read: Learn This: Making Friends In Chats

1. What to do when joining the room.
When you join #devart it's polite greet only staff members and senior members, no one else because why do they matter?
Learn this: How to make good street photographyWelcome to a CV project that has been years in the making. YES! Even before we knew we would be volunteers--ages before we even knew deviantArt existed--we were working on this collection of tutorials to bring only the most refined and technologically advanced methods to your interweb doorstep.
Chimping (looking at the LCD screen) is mandatory after taking photos on the streets
Mix your digital and film photos in a project: that rocks and gives great rendering
You know you're good when letting the number of “favorites” dictate whether a photo is good or notLet also criticism affect you negatively. A criticism used to empower positively your work is so over overrated. It is an obligation to hesitate before taking a street photograph!!!
Use cluttered backgrounds, it's so visually appealing.Shooting more than one type of film at a time (Kodak Portra 400 for color, Kodak Tri-X for black and white) is a must do to enter the Hall of Fame of Fam
Learn This: Fashion PhotographyEDIT: This might have been just a silly April Fool's joke, but I hope it exposed you to some new tools in Photoshop that you haven't used before! Both the gradient tool and selective color adjustment layers are things that I do use a lot! Just not quite to this extent of course :)
Welcome to a CV project that has been years in the making. YES! Even before we knew we would be volunteers--ages before we even knew DeviantArt existed--we were working on this collection of tutorials to bring only the most refined and technologically advanced methods to your interweb doorstep.
Today, I, Queen-Kitty, will be assisting you so that you can achieve SUPER artistic FASHION editing on your very own fashion photographs! :D I know you are super excited, because this tutorial has been a long time coming! Celebrating Deviousness- April 2016

In Recognition of Exemplary Membership and an Outstanding Spirit of helpfulness and mentoring within the DeviantArt community.

Introducing Picolo-kun

:iconpicolo-kun:

My name is Gabriel Picolo, I’m an illustrator based in Brazil who loves coffee and black kitties.

I’ve been drawing since I was kid but it was always a hobby which I didn’t put much time into. By 2013 I used to draw a doodle per month. Maybe.

Then, I joined the DeviantArt community on 2014 when I did the 365 days of doodles project, in which I challenged myself to draw a doodle a day, for the whole year. It was one of the most challenging things I ever did and it helped me so much with developing my craft and to keep drawing regularly.

Everything from then on was crazy and by the end of the 365 days I was getting art commissions and clients, which made me decide to quit my 9 to 5 job to become a full time freelance illustrator. The support I got from the community was unbelievable and it made me connect with so many amazing people. This connection between you guys and the stories I create is definitely my favorite part of sharing my work here.

April 2016

Deviousness Award Winner

Picolo-kun made a mark on the DeviantArt community from the moment he joined. Starting off his DeviantArt career with his 365 Days of Doodles project, he was an instant hit with his complex daily drawings. From there, he continued to challenge himself and the DeviantArt community to create art in new and different ways. Once the 365 Days of Doodles were complete, he started a new palette project in which he focused on a different color in his artwork each month. Recently, he also hosted a challenge on Sketch This in the Autodesk Sketchbook mobile app. Outside of his artwork, he’s hosted his own challenges with prizes for the DeviantArt community. If you venture through his journals, you’ll see various stories about his growth, art features promoting other artists from DeviantArt, and tips and tricks for beating procrastination.

Although he’s only been a member of DeviantArt for two years, Picolo-kun has quickly become a core part of the community. It is for this reason that we are proud to award Picolo-kun the Deviousness Award for April 2016.

Encountering Picolo-kun’s DeviantArt gallery is like peering into an active volcano seething with dramatic and seductive imagery. Virtuosic draftsmanship combined with keen insights into the secrets of the human heart, from romance to tragedy, informed throughout by a wise and gentle sense of humor, all rendered in a style that’s both fluid and precise. Comics as poetry, and poetry as hardcore rock and roll for the eyeballs. Add to that a genuine curiosity regarding his fellow artists and simple courtesy in his dealings with them, you have a solid and inspiring deviant and a great natural resource for this community.”

Picolo-kun has a gallery that is filled to the brim with jaw dropping work. Crossing from traditional to digital, he incorporates a beautiful sense of the traditional style in his digital work. His Moleskin journal pieces have traveled so many dimensions of styles, genres, and subjects and all of his hard work has inspired so many others. He often makes great tutorials to help his followers and consistently fosters growth in his own work and for other artists. Congratulations, Picolo-kun! Well deserved!”

First of all I have to say I am honored to be asked to write something about Picolo-kun. (Gabriel) I know him for some years now and he has been a real motivating force for me on DA since I met him, and I know that I am not the only one. His work is very inspiring and full of colors and or ink. The 365 days of doodles challenge was an amazing idea of him and I have seen many people do it and even I have tried to do the challenge, but couldn’t keep up because of a busy school life. Nevertheless, people did the same thing as he did and that’s why he is so big inspiration. He has eye for color and detail and somehow is really good at capturing people’s emotions and has a big fantasy. His new hit, Icarus and the Sun is very popular, just as the 365 days of doodles challenge was last year. And very colorful and inspiring. But above all, he is not only an good and real artist, but also a really nice and humble person and a good friend for encouraging me to continue with the challenge and drawing, although that I eventually quit the challenge back than. But I will never stop drawing, because of people like him. I’ll like to end with that I am really grateful for being asked to write something about him. I wish you all luck for the future Gabriel, enjoy your award. You really deserve it!”

His artwork is born from real emotions, Gabriel’s imagination has sorcery and charm and he trains himself sensually in the perception of the world!!! The way he used lighting often enhances the thought provoking messages in his images. He has a passion to create Art that feels like a magical mess of gorgeous chaos ! He looks at beauty from the strangest outlook, …a true Deviant Artist.”

Gabriel’s amazing talent is matched by his sweet personality and the way he encourages others to be proud of their works! I came across this artist when I saw his inspiring Inking tutorial that earned him a Daily Deviation last year, and thank Goodness for the “More from” feature on the right of the page, because I saw things in there that tickled my curiosity and made me want to visit his gallery and take a more in-depth look! O… MG! There it was, his “Let Me In” piece grabbed my heart automatically, and the rest is history, I’m one of his fans now!!! Enjoying his creations and witnessing his lovely way of being in each of his interactions with every single one of us!!! I am truly amazed by his unbelievable talent and his warmth, his eagerness to be the role model he is!!! Congratulations my dear Picolo-kun, it’s SO good to see YOU holding that sweet little green crown.”

I met Picolo-kun while searching for the black cat in his daily sketchbook postings last year. Picolo is a master of his craft; what sets him apart is the way he weaves heart and soul into his drawing. His Icarus and the Sun series shows him to be also a fine storyteller. But what makes him a truly devious deviant is the way he interacts with his watchers. When I leave a substantive comment on one of his drawings, he replies with one of his own. That’s rare among popular artist. DA is a better place for having Picolo-kun on board.”

Picolo-kun, you probably know him from his well known project called ‘365 days of doodles’. The project started to stop laziness and better himself but turned out to be an inspiring adventure for you see everyday how he progressed in style, and composition. Even after the project, @Picolo-kunconsistency creates pieces of art that are a definite eye candy and elicit tons of emotions. Congrats Picolo-kun, you deserve it!”

Picolo-kun has always been my special inspiration here on DeviantArt. I’ve been honored to meet such a great person on DA! His works are all so interesting and I know all the people here are fans of his little comic strips! He’s a wonderful person, and so are his tutorials and artworks! I congratulate Senpai for getting this award as he truly deserves this! He’s got many more people to be loved by! Keep being awesome!”

I’ve been following Picolo-kun ever since he started out with the 356 sketches project and I remember thinking it was amazing that somebody was able to do such elaborate drawings every single day. His dedication is an inspiration in itself already, but his art is really inspiring and thought-provoking as well. It’s a mix between original takes on every fandom and thought provoking original characters and comics, all presented in a style and manner that’s really unique to him. But what probably struck me the most, is how much of an approachable individual Picolo-kun is. Despite doing daily art and being active on all kinds of social media, he still takes time to reach out to the community and interact with them on all kinds of subjects. He’s provided the community with feedback, tutorials and interesting challenges to take part in. His dedication is truly awesome. So congrats, Picolo-kun. It’s an award well earned!”

Picolo-kun, you probably know him from his well known project called '365 days of doodles'. Celebrating Deviousness - March 2016

Tue Mar 1, 2016, 12:00 AM
Img-og by seoul-child

In Recognition of Exemplary Membership and an Outstanding Spirit of helpfulness and mentoring within the DeviantArt community.

Introducing ikazon

:iconikazon:

In a very spontaneous turn of events involving a fateful tupperware bowl, my mom unintentionally met with a medium at a Christmas party when I was eight years old, and that medium told her (among other things) that I was going to be a writer someday. My mom didn’t tell me about this whole happening until several years after I told her I wanted to write for a living, but still, how crazy is that, right?

My name is Trevor, and I’m a happy-go-lucky Californian currently employed as a content writer and marketing associate. I first branched out into creative writing when I was fifteen because I told an elaborate lie about how I wrote stories so I could impress my then-girlfriend, which in retrospect wasn’t a lie at all since I went on to write the stories that I said I’d written, even though I hadn’t written any of them before I said that.

On the bright side, that elaborate lie put me on a path that I haven’t had to look back on in the time since, as it led to opportunities I wouldn’t have had otherwise, a career path that I’m happy with, and a place that changed my life tremendously, that being DeviantArt.

I originally joined DA in September 2007, more or less on a whim because some friends told me I should. If present me could tell the me who signed up for DA what would come of that action, I have to imagine that past me would call present me a liar. Thankfully, present me would be telling the truth anyway. I have made tons of amazing friends, been a part of so many creative endeavors, and have been introduced to memorable experiences that have taken me halfway across the globe thanks to this site, community, and the people that inhabit it. Without DeviantArt my life would undoubtedly be very different than it is, and I wouldn’t trade my experiences here for anything.

Things they don’t tell you.

When you wake the next morning, you still

need to get out of bed in time for work, you still

have to shower, dress yourself, eat breakfast, brush

your teeth and hair;

and when your mother calls

to check in, you have to comfort her because she lost

her dad last night;

and when you call your grandmother

your voice cannot waver lest you upset her, because

she lost a man she's known for seventy years and even

though she would never hold it against you, you still

feel obligated not to cry;

and when you sit down

to do your job, you will have to do it with all your heart

because if you cannot do it with all your heart you

won't be able to do it at all;

and when the sun

bears down on you as a testament to Wednesday

you have to accept that the sun will continue to be there

even after everything you love, even after you yourself

are gone;

- by ikazon

A New Cat

Our neighborhood stray is dead. I know this

because there is a black cat here I've never seen.

This cat is not the black splotch covered canvas stray

that clawed up and down my arm last winter

when I mistakenly tried to wrap it in a blanket

for warmth. This cat does not have the matted

fur that the stray did, does not deliberately stretch

out in front of my car tires the way the stray did

right before I had to leave for work, does not

chase lizards in the grass like the stray. This is not

the stray that aggressively meowed at me

when he wanted affection, nor is it the stray

that climbed our fence to try catching birds.

I'm certain this new cat must be lost, or else

looking for that same blotched canvas stray

that had become part of his family, too.

March 2016

Deviousness Award Winner

A deviant for nine years, ikazon is a monumentally influential member of DeviantArt. A champion of DeviantArt’s literature community, he’s contributed his own writing and journal skins to the community since he first joined DeviantArt. In 2011, ikazon became a Community Volunteer, shining a light on undiscovered pieces in both the DeviantArt related and literature galleries. His dedication to the community quickly made him a beloved figure on DeviantArt. Soon after, in 2012, he was hired as a full-time staff member, where he ran multiple community projects, such as the 2014 and 2015 Valentine’s Day Exchange!

However, ikazon’s contributions to the community extended past his time as a community volunteer and a staff member. From contributing journal skins to the CalendarProject to leaving encouraging comments for his fellow community members, ikazon’s supporting presence has been felt all across DeviantArt.

We’re proud to name ikazon as the Deviousness Award recipient for March 2016!

I’ve had the honor of calling Trevor a friend for many years, and I’ve always been impressed by his energy and positivity. He’s the first person to lend a hand or a listening ear, and his commitment to the DeviantArt community is among the most genuine I’ve ever seen. Giving him this award has been a long time coming, and I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate his years of support and service.”

Trevor is someone who brings positivity and care into everything he does. Whether it’s through an insightful critique, an innovative idea to improve DA, or the hard work he has put into his many projects, evidence of his love for the community here is immeasurable. Congratulations, Trevor, you’re truly an outstanding deviant!”

Trevor should come in bottles, as the secret sauce to brighten your day. There’s just the right amount of warmth and genuine depth, plus that touch of sass that hits a mildly sexy note without it all turning awkward. Everyone loves a splash of Trevor

As a long-time deviant, ikazon knows DeviantArt like the back of his hand. With his knowledge of how the site works and its history, he’s been a huge help to the community and the site’s development. ikazon is a caring and passionate person who has truly made a positive impact on the community over the years. His personality, positive spirit, humor, and eagerness to help other deviants, make him a well-deserved recipient of the Deviousness Award.”

If the community is the lifeblood of DeviantArt, ikazon is the heart. Not only a talented writer in his own right, he is an inspiration to artists of all types, a helping hand to those in need, and a true friend to all lucky enough to call him one. His contributions over the years are larger than the sum of their parts, and he’s a shining beacon of positivity on an Internet that can sometimes be confusing and scary. My every congratulations go out to him, as he very much deserves this award!”

ikazon is an imaginative writer who evokes a sense of visual images through his descriptive work, he is an inspiration to many and he doesn’t fail to produce some kind of emotion through his work, Congratulations on your deviousness, you deserve it!”

Trevor has been the voice of reason in the lit circle for as long as he’s been part of the site, and he’s probably singlehandedly kept every lit CV from being thrown off a cliff by the community, so the impact he’s had runs deep. Plus it’s about time that someone gets deviousness after being dressed like a luchador by Moonbeam13 for cheap laughs at a wedding, let’s be real. Thank you for your mentorship, friendship and co-whining for the last ten years and congrats.”

ikazon is one of those deviants who strives above and beyond for this community. Not only is his literature so inspiring, but his heart and soul are equally as matched. He’s one of the kindest deviants I’ve had the honor of knowing throughout my time here on DeviantArt. Let me tell you, his enthusiasm and positive personality is infectious! He shares his passions with everyone around him with the greatest of heart! Thank you for all you do ikazon! You truly deserves this, congrats!!”

Trevor has been an outstanding example for the community for a very long time. He’s funny, inspirational, knowledgeable, and keeps a level head when the rest of us feel like gathering the pitchforks. It is great to see someone who has had such a great impact on myself, and many others, get this recognition. :D I hope Trevor realizes how fully he has earned it.”

It’s easy to see how DeviantArt has grown and changed over time, but the one constant, the one true light, has been Trevor. I’ve had the honor of knowing him before his senior-ship, which he earned through compassion and positivity, before he was a volunteer, where he championed for literature, and worked alongside him as staff on DeviantArt, where there was no greater truth than Trevor’s love and compassion—he always worked with the community in mind. Creativity, skill, and inspiration are just a part of what he brings to DeviantArt, but certainly his heart and generosity towards the community—every single person—is what makes me so grateful to know him.”

ikazon was my first introduction to the haikai aesthetic and Japanese poetry in general. He introduced me to the kind of poetry that’s open and friendly; that’s playful with a good sense of humor; that welcomed you in then helped you see things about the world and about yourself. I’m not only talking about the poetry, of course, I’m also talking about the person. ikazon is one of those positive and generous people who make you feel involved. When you’re in a conversation with him, it’s not only his words that matter—it’s yours too. His writing often is a conversation albeit one with depth and wisdom. You can see that in his works: his words are mindful of their influence on what surrounds them, aware of how they sound and how that affects the reader. This is characteristic of Japanese poetry but what I find most striking of his writing is how, unlike the usual brevity of a single vivid image found in Japanese poetry, his stories are instead a stream of images. His works hold the experience of events as a clear river of moments. A hint to his inspiration can be seen in his favourites and the DDs he’s featured: a varied mix of digital art, photography, and literature that leave an impression. He also has wonderful music taste and I’ve discovered a lot of good music from what he shares in his journals. That’s what he does. He shares. ikazon, thank you for all you’ve done, not just for me, but for everyone.”

Ohhh my goodness!!! I came across with ikazon’s page when he was working for DeviantArt and all I can say is that I fell instantly in love with his personality, his helpfulness and the sweetness of all his interactions!!! I don’t see him as a person, I see him as force whose amazingness is absolutely “Larger Than Life”!!! He’s always been there for everybody, supporting people who need DA-related guidance, but also as a friend, he’s indeed a beacon in this place!!! And when I thought I couldn’t get more at “awe” for his amazingness, I had a look at his writings … (gasp) … what can I say? He rocks!!! And I’m thrilled to see this recognition bestowed upon him today!!! I LOVE YOU TREVOR!!! with all my heart!!! CONGRASUPERTULATIONS, my friend.”

What can I say about Trev? He’s like a midwife for words. And a postpartum care specialist for wonderfulness. In the, gosh, six years we’ve known each other, Trev has always been there for me. He’s helped me develop my writing, he’s been an fabulous friend. He’s reached into my life and flicked some switch that reads “make things better”. And he’s done that for so many people. I haven’t even got started on how amazing his writing is, but I should. It’s like a kite that leaps and flows and when it comes down the sky is never the same. I’m so proud of my bud and I could say so much more, but I’m not going to because I want you to stop reading me and go start reading him.”

Monkey (former Monkey?) has been a community pillar for a long time, sharing not only his work but the process and, in doing so, inspiring others to create. Literature on DA wouldn’t be half as much of a presence without his involvement.”

Trevor is a ray of light in our community. He has done so much to build people up, to stay positive and to help other deviants over the years as both a volunteer and a staff member. The Thanksgiving Note Project was what first introduced me to him, many years back and I think it’s a great example of his positive outlook and willingness to always give back to the community by telling people that you appreciate them. Congrats Trevor! :tighthug:

Most of us need no introduction to Trevor, and that speaks volumes already. Trevor has been there for most of us when we struggled, when we had questions about DA, and when shenanigans are happening. Trevor’s positive attitude, witty humour and terrible puns are infectious. We love him even when he’s getting all the trivia questions right and stealing all the prizes or winning all the kiribans. There are few people who have done as much for the community as Trevor has, and I’m beyond delighted that he’s getting the Deviousness Award.”

ikazon Is a beautiful soul and I cannot think of anyone more deserving of the honor. For several years, he has graced the Literature community with his talent and heart. I am sincerely blessed to call him my friend. Trevor is selfless: he defines what it means to be devious. His radiating, giving spirit always serves as a positive example to others, and I personally know how loving, hard-working, dedicated and loyal he is. He can also be counted on to raise you up: with his sweet smile, the contagious ring of his gentle laughter and the tenderness of his inner heart. There are few who possess his rare gift of unpretentious gregariousness. I have had the rare honor of being close to him as a fellow writer and faithful friend since early 2008, and in watching him grow as an artist. Every day, Trevor makes a difference – in simply by being himself, and in shining an optimistic, magnificent light that follows him wherever he goes.”

Some years ago I became a CV and it was Trevor who became my partner in crime. Until that day I didn’t know of him and had no idea if we would get along well. I was a bit worried, but it was totally unneeded. Being able to say anything negative about Trevor is impossible. He is one of the most positive humans I have ever met. His smile makes you happy instantly and he supports the people around him in any way he can. Whatever he does, he does it with 100% dedication. Be it his job, his literature, his friends or projects he works on. Rock on, mindful coyote (hey, you are a monkey!) and make sure to celebrate with lots of cake and glitter. You totally deserve this and so much more! Stay as awesome as you are!”

Trevor is a little big hero. He might be little in stature but grand in heart. He’s simply put, one of the nicest (and goofiest) persons I know and I’m not talking only about DeviantArt but in general. I’m actually surprised he didn’t received this award sooner because he’s always one of the little people that first come to mind when I think of who deserve it. There are many little things I would like to say about him and there is a large list of little reasons why he deserves it, but if I had to mention just one I would say: he’s genuine. It’s always refreshing to know someone who is consistent in what they say with what they do, someone who genuinely cares and is also an amazing little friend, someone who will equally make you laugh and will empathize with you if you’re feeling sad, and you know you can count with at any time. So my little friend: you deserve it! So happy for you, have a little hug!”

Trevor is the living example of everything that I’ve come to believe the DeviantArt community should be. He is welcoming, inclusive, classy when called for, goofy when called for, and blessed with the perspective and wisdom of a person far older than his years. In the many roles I’ve seen him play for this community, he has always shown imagination, enthusiasm, a tireless work ethic, discretion and taste. Trevor is an asset to DeviantArt, a professional, and a good friend.”

Trevor, Monkey, GaioumonBatou, lightningmonkey wreckling, ikazon, and a few other names. premium member, beta tester, senior, volunteer, staff, and back to senior. I’ve actually not encountered a person who doesn’t like him… I mean at points people have been upset with him, but personally never been around anyone who didn’t at some level get along with him. I’m lucky to count him among one of my closest friends, and he’s been a constant in my dA experience. I’m a fan of his writing. I’m always amazed at his capacity to make friends, bring people together, and hammer out projects with quality work behind it. Personally, I feel as far as what the deviousness award stands for, Trevor embodies it. Passion for art, caring for fellow artists. He highlights the success of others, and has handed out Daily Deviations to this end. A leader (he’ll hate me for saying that) among friends to get projects accomplished. Generally just a really outstanding deviant. He may not be as old school as some users around here, but he is definitely in the woodwork of this place. I could go on for so much longer, but I promised I wouldn’t write a 10 page essay on the praises of this amazing person. AT LONG LAST HE IS DEVIOUSNESS INCARNATE >__> for at least a month.”

Trevor isn’t someone that I know on a personal basis, but certainly someone I feel compelled to say something about. You don’t have to know him personally to know that he is a dedicated, passionate and generally amazing person. The many years he has dedicated to DeviantArt have not gone unnoticed, and I certainly have so much respect for that. I’m happy to still see him around DA, so I can secretly stalk what he’s been up to. All this to say that this award is certainly incredibly deserved, so congratulations man!”

Trevor is one of the most awesome, down to earth deviants I know on here. He has faced some difficult transitions both as an artist and person on here and has taken them all in his stride with positivity, always ready for the next adventure. He is someone many deviants of all art forms can appreciate and understand that as long as you are true to yourself, nothing can get in your way.”

ikazon is one of the reasons I became serious about writing -- and I know I’m not the only person who he helped inspire. His never-wavering support, heartfelt critiques, and unyielding optimism pushed me through so many drafts I would have otherwise abandoned. And he would do the same for any writer. He is at the heart of the dA writing community, and I could think of no one more deserving of Deviousness.”

I’ve been reading Ikazon’s work for a while, but it was his piece 'Things they don’t tell you’ fav.me/d9h4bhk that really stuck with me. I think we’ve all lost people close to us, and there’s a tremendous amount of moving forward and carrying on that happens whether we want it to or not, things that we do or don’t do, say or don’t say to satisfy expectations or the needs of others, and I’ve never seen this captured with such honest fidelity as Ikazon did here. In the closing when it’s pointed out that everything will outlast even you, it puts the loss in a much needed perspective. It’s this clarity of language, this open and honest exploration of ideas and exposed nerves that makes his writing such a pleasure to read, even when it pulls open things you thought were healing nicely. He’s always a pleasure to read, both in his poetry and prose and in his comments, always a calm voice of considerate reason and helpful advice. An integral part of the community and another of those things that contributes to making this place such a fantastic environment to contribute to and develop in.”

Congratulations to ikazon!

In Recognition of Exemplary Membership and an Outstanding Spirit of helpfulness and mentoring within the DeviantArt community.

Introducing KovoWolf

:iconkovowolf:

Hello! My name is Amber and I’m an art enthusiast and deviously addicted to DeviantArt in the most healthy way possible. My artistic adventures started when I was very young, doodling on my homework as far back as I can remember. My grandfather stirred within me a passion and desire to pursue the arts and to keep going with it. Even passing down his Disney animation books he received when he worked for Disney as an animator. After loosing his battle with cancer I lost all motivation, will and desire to continue with my art. In any form or fashion. It was soul crushing.

After being referred to join DeviantArt by a friend who was a deviant I came to see what it was all about. I signed up and just like that, from the embers of near artistic defeat after loosing my grandfather, DeviantArt, friends and family helped to reforge me from the ashes and help me gain the confidence and support to keep moving forward. DeviantArt gave me the outlet to burst free and allowed me to harness motivation. It filled me with daily inspirations. With each positive comment, share, and favorite the community here stated to pull me back from the void. DeviantArt community truly is like no other. I’ve made so many friends and acquaintances throughout my time here that I’m so honored and grateful for it. Once you become a part of this community it can be life changing.

“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time” – Thomas Merton

My art is an expression of my feelings and raw untamed emotion. I let the strokes tell who I am and I love what story’s they can weave. To create a piece of artwork you can truly connect with as if it was cut and woven from the very fabric of your being. Art allows us the ability to step away from the confines of reality and allow ourselves to get lost in a world created from the power of our minds. Art is a humbling and character building experience. Art is to preserve and cherish our imaginations. This in itself inspires me. I’ve always had a wild imagination and I love bringing them to life. I can release the stresses of every day life and let the colors soak the negative away like a sponge and ring out the positive back onto the canvas.

“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” – Pablo Picasso

This quote has a deep rooted meaning for me and I’ve always found solace and inspiration in it. Art is something felt emotionally and physically and that’s why I love it. It’s something that touches each and every one of us differently and it’s a humbling, scary and an exciting experience. It can make us laugh or cry. Something I would no sooner give up because I enjoy feeling a sense of true, untamed freedom when I’m lost in my own world of art or another artists. Living and breathing art.

February 2016

Deviousness Award Winner

A long time deviant, KovoWolf has been a vital member of the DeviantArt community for the past 12 years. Acting as a community volunteer, she helped bring the best Anthro artwork to the forefront, and embraced the community. Outside of her time spent as a volunteer, she was also sure to participate in annual community projects such as the Valentine’s Day Art Exchange and Holiday Card Project, as well as creating useful tutorials for the community to ensure everyone has the best DeviantArt experience possible. Her tireless love for the community, combined with her clear dedication, make KovoWolf the perfect recipient of February’s Deviousness Award!

We’re proud to name KovoWolf as the Deviousness Award recipient for February 2016

Amber has been such a great influence towards this community! Her anthro arts and ideas are absolutely inspirational to look at. I also appreciate her time as an Anthro CV. She’s been there since I started DD Suggesting and she showed true dedication toward the Anthro community. She’s a perfect example of a rock star here on DA! Thank you, Amber.”

I had the pleasure of interacting with KovoWolf once I started to suggest DDs and discovered that she was the long-standing Anthro CV. Her politeness and dedication as a Community Volunteer always stood out, to say nothing of the consistent quality of artworks she featured on a near daily basis. Amber has served as an exemplary role model for community spirit and service, influencing my own efforts here, and I extend a hearty congratulations on her Deviousness award!”

KovoWolf’s work is extraordinarily beautiful and magical. While I know very little of her beyond my fondness for her art, her enthusiasm and magnetic presence as the CV for the Anthro community introduced me to a whole new genre that I had failed to explore before. Congratulations, KovoWolf! And thanks for all your hardwork: for all the beautiful art you create and feature, and for your dedication to the community. This award is so very well deserved.”

KovoWolf is truly one of the greatest Deviants you could ever meet. From the day we first spoke to each other as a fellow volunteer we formed a great friendship and I have only the fondest memories of my conversations with her. Not only is she a talented and passionate artist but she is also one of tho kindest souls I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. You can’t talk to her without a warm feeling in your heart. She is that friend that everyone wants, reliable, humble, inspirational and selfless. A true gem in our community who has served her gallery well and earned this well deserved deviousness award!”

KovoWolf has been an incredible asset, friend, and light in the DeviantArt community. Her time here has been dedicated to helping others and sharing incredible beauty within the community. Her gallery is filled with powerful pieces that show her dedication to those of us who love wolves and nature. There are few that are as dedicated and loving as Amber, and I am so happy to hear that she has received Deviousness. Congratulations!”

Amber truly embodies the spirit of community in every way, its lovely to see her incredible enthusiasm being acknowledged with the Deviousness Award. Helpful, supportive and thoughtful of both individual artists and larger community projects shes one talented deviant everyone should have on their watch list and regularly spam with hugs.”

KovoWolf is a shining light in the Anthro Community and on DeviantArt in general. She is always willing to lend a hand or even an ear. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with her these past few years within the Anthro Community. Passion should be her middle name is reflective both in her community spirit and her artwork. Kovo is a beautiful soul and one very deserving of the Deviousness Award. Congratulations KovoWolf!”

Amber has been a driving force within the community for many years now. She’s the kind of person who is always happy to lend a helping hand when and where she is able. If it’s a project she’s helping with or simply lending an ear, her kindness shows through everything she does! She’s one of those people you can’t help but look up to, be it for her talent with art, or just her positive approach towards life.”

Like many others, I first knew KovoWolf as the anthro community volunteer. She was a great volunteer, giving feedback, being very understanding, and devoting her time to make the anthro community a strong one. Her accomplishments shaped this community and will not be forgotten so easily. Kovo was, and still is, an inspiration to me, both for her contribution to the community and her art. It’s people like KovoWolf who make DeviantArt such a unique place. I am grateful to be part of celebrating an amazing person with my clumsy words (hopefully better than my daily deviation descriptions…). It’s a pleasure to see KovoWolf receive the Deviousness Award. She will be missed as a community volunteer, but hopefully, it will leave more time for her to grant us the gift or her art. Congratulations KovoWolf and thank you for all you’ve done!”

Amber is an asset to DeviantArt, and a boon to the Anthro Community. She dedicated more time and energy into her volunteer work than most people can put into their full-time jobs. She is not only a kind and generous soul, she is also very talented - her web designs breathed new life into the Anthro Community and set a new standard for professionalism. I am glad I’ve had the chance to know Amber, and I am confident that wherever she goes and whatever she puts her mind to, she’ll be a success!”

What comes to mind when I think of Amber is: creativity and dedication. She’s a very dedicated girl committed to make everything more awesome, something I learned during our time as community volunteers together, but that is evident just by looking at her gallery and profile. Not only a very talented artist but also a great designer, always willing to help. Congrats Amber! You deserve it!”

Kovo’s such an integral member of the community, I honestly can’t imagine DA without her. During my own tenure as a CV, she set a standard of quality which I strove for. And her surreal, elemental art never fails to charm and relax.”

I am honoured to have worked with Amber while we were both Community Volunteers in the Community Relations team. My experience there was made more awesome because of Amber’s commitment, passion and kindness. Not only did she really show the rest of us how we should be, she brought out the best in us as well. Amber’s dedication to the Anthro gallery is evident in her projects and features, and her stunning artwork too! Anyone can tell that Amber crafts these things with love and care, so it comes as no surprise that Amber is February’s Deviousness. Congratulations, Amber!”

First of all I’m very happy for KovoWolf, she absolutely deserves this award because her dedication for DeviantArt or supporting others is extraordinary. I absolutely agree when Amber says: "DeviantArt is a healthy addiction". I admit to have the same addiction and I’m sure we’re not the only ones. I have to add that Amber is a great person and artist and was a great Community Volunteer. I know that she tried to give her best every day for this community as a CV and for me it’s an example to follow. For this I have a big THANK YOU for her. Like DD Suggester I have to apologize for all the notes and I appreciate her patience and kindness. Amber I wish you all the best, hope you’ll continue to do great things for our lovely community. Blessings to you and congratulations, you deserve it.”

Amber is not only incredibly talented artist and designer, but an absolute joy to talk to and I’ve worked with her on numerous projects, both within the Community Relations Team and in the wider DeviantArt space! She’s so receptive and attentive when you’re screaming at CSS or just need a nudge in the right direction. It’s amazing to know we have people like her in the community to guide and inspire those around her. Well done Amber, incredibly well deserved!!”

I had the fortune of training Amber when she first joined the CV team and what I found was a wonderful, enthusiastic person who is always willing to listen to others and take direction when she needed it-so much so that in turn she became the person guiding others. Not only this, she is a lovely, genuine person and great friend, everything a person who is devious on this site should be! Well done Amber, so proud of you!”

Ambers always been one of the best to work with. Quick to understand many sides of things, and helpful to get people together on the same pages. Running projects and fun things with Amber has always been a joy, and a laugh. Hugs and happiness, an award to celebrate how amazing she is!

KovoWolf has been fairly active in the community even before she became a Community Volunteer for Anthro, such that it spilled outside the anthro world! From hosting various contests to informational articles through projecteducate that one can use as reference later on, she is an inspirational artist as well as a supportive, energetic deviant. It's also amazing to see talented artist in varied field of interest go through improvements in their progress and have that recognizable artwork and also the spirit to help others in her own way!

Congratulations to KovoWolf!

:bulletgreen: PixelPeddlers - Welcome to PixelPeddlers, a customizaton group focused on the best DA has to offer. The main purpose behind our group is to build a center for customization community, where shady deals can be made (suites!) and you can have a cool chat with other customizers. A place you can return to after being AFK for a longer period of time while still feel like you have something in common with the people there, and they give you proper feedback on your work. With that in mind, we want to create a group-whole collaborations and projects that can give customization more eyeballs (+ they are fun to make), and create a platform for skinners to participate in and share new ideas through.

In Recognition of Exemplary Membership and an Outstanding Spirit of helpfulness and mentoring within the DeviantArt community.

Introducing Miguel-Santos

:iconmiguel-santos:

In my mind, I became a photographer when I was a child. I marveled at our family slideshows, projected onto a white sheet on the wall, in our darkened living room. Those beautiful slices of time, floating in beams of dusty light, cheered by the small crowd at every snap, made me realize how much I wanted to take pictures.

I grew up in the outskirts of Lisbon, Portugal, and I travelled the world through the photographs of great masters. I studied every detail, wondered about their adventures, and dreamed of my own. Now I live in Santa Catarina, in southern Brazil, where I fell in love with nature and its culture too, of course, and I found myself becoming a storyteller through pictures.

It has been a great journey to become that picture taker. However, the journey to establish myself as an artist would have never even started without stepping into the world of DeviantArt.

Since I joined this awesome community, I felt embraced by its creative spirit and love of art. I met artists and made friends who inspire me as a person. It takes courage for me to share my passion. It takes nerve to share my visions and call myself an artist. DeviantArt became my guide to find that strength within and its citizens my partners in this grand adventure.

Thanks to you, I have become an artist, inspiring others. What a precious reward for sharing.

To those who supported my work over the years and to everyone who relates to it, I am proud to be a citizen among you. Much love to you all.

Long live DeviantArt.

January 2015

Deviousness Award Winner

Miguel-Santos perfectly captures the spirit of a true deviant through his work on DeviantArt! A photographer for fifteen years and a deviant for four, Miguel has made an incredible impact on DeviantArt's photography community through his personal work and contributions to various DeviantArt groups, where he's always ready to provide helpful feedback to his fellow photographers. With a gallery full of photographs that tell brilliant stories, he provides an exclusive glimpse into an otherwise unseen life.

We're proud to name Miguel-Santos as the Deviousness Award recipient for January 2016

Miguel has a talent that radiates throughout his entire gallery. It won't take you long to fall in love with his work, but perhaps even more surprising is how quickly you'll fall for the man behind the lens. His passion and love for the community here at DA is as bright of a beacon as his art. Taking the time to suggest DDs, comment thoughtfully, and participate in projects like the Capturing Change initiative with Sony, it's easy to see that his mark has been made here. Congratulations to a truly outstanding deviant.

In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality. Alfred Stieglitz

What I noticed most about Miguel and his photography is the warmth in his composition. It's not just what he shoots that counts it's the way that he shoots which is critical, as well. Poor choices in photo composition can make a fantastic subject appear dull, but a well-set scene can create a wonderful image from the most ordinary of situations. Miguel has the ability to do just so. The way he frames a shot, chooses a focal length or position makes all the difference in the outcome, which is beautiful to see. He has become over the years a great asset to the DeviantArt community in terms of inspiration and an all around cool deviant! Congrats on the well deserved award of deviousness!

Nigel Stamos?! Seriously, DeviantArt? Out of the 25 million plus members on this site, you chose to give the award to some Marcelle Lactose?! I've known Mirabel Standtoes for quite some time, and I will say this about the guy: Marvell Signpost is not human, nor is he of this world. I've rarely come across a person who exudes humanity and tenderness like our Seagal Mantoast. In fact, he reeks of it, and it's disgusting. He's like our very own, Kal-El -- red underpants and all. Sure, he's talented. Sure, he shoots amazing pictures. Sure, he's been a great inspiration to many of us and will remain so forever and ever! And hell yeah, we'll always love him for it... but seriously, DeviantArt? Seriously? I'd like to conclude this rant by saying that I cannot think of a deviant more deserving of the Deviousness Award than the one, the only, and the somewhat irreplaceable, Miguel-Santos. Congratulations, my friend!

All I have to say about Miguel-Santos is WOW. What a talented fellow. I don't know him personally but I LOVE viewing his art. He captures nature so beautifully. It makes me want to visit every area. One of my top favorite photographers on DeviantArt for sure!

I came across Miguel through his artworks, those exquisite photographs that were able to tell so many stories with just a glimpse!!! I was lucky enough to exchange a few comments with him and it was there when I realized what an amazing human being he was, not just as an artist, but as a friend!!! He has a humble heart sunk in an ocean of greatness!!! And every time I see his works I am reminded of why I fell "in like at first sight" with him!!! I'm SO proud to see you up here today my sweet dear friend, you are absolutely all that this award holds, and it is with honor that I congratulate you with big joy inside of my heart!!! Keep being the awesome artist/human you are, Miguel!!!

Miguel, to me, is probably one of the best photographers on DeviantArt. There is a very special vision he shares with us, encouraging us to cherish human beings and our environment. From what I humbly think about our World, I would simply say Miguel would be our Ambassador, delivering a message of true hope and beauty through his work. I am genuinely honored and proud to know Miguel on DeviantArt, and deeply inspired by him as a Photographer.

Miguel is a brilliant and inspirational artist as well as an active deviant and a generous person. He is always a positive and cheerful presence and everyone who knows him knows just how amazing it is to be around him. I first found Miguel through his art, i remember being fascinated by his photos and the way he presented the world through them. Even now, after many years, I’m reminded of the beauty around us every time I take a look at his gallery. I'm very glad I'm writing this in celebration of his award, Miguel is well deserving of this honor. Congratulations!

Miguel is one of those photographers that captures a rare atmospheric scene, most of his photographs are so calming whilst others tell a story. What is truely amazing is that he selects the most appropriate comment from his photographs and places them on his profile page, showing that deviants really like his photographs, his artwork whilst also promoting the deviant that commented. Miguel says thank you, he gives out llamas, true Deviant and worthy of this award.

Miguel is one of the most inspiring photographers here on DeviantArt, and also an amazing guy. The diversity in his photography is truly outstanding, especially given the fact that he masters each one of them. He has a creative mind, and great skill, thus going through his gallery is like taking a special journey. I recommend everyone go take a look!

Miguel's photography is impactful, delivering strong messages about the world around him. His dedication to the DeviantArt community is also admirable. From his participation in the Capturing Change project to his promotion of Sketch This challenges and encouraging users to watch and interact with one another, he has touched many areas of the website with his enthusiasm and energy. He's truly a role model for other members and absolutely deserving of being the first Deviousness recipient for 2016. Congrats, Miguel!

Congratulations to Miguel-Santos!

Painting The Earth With My Song [ BLUE ] by KovoWolf

What can I say about Amber that you don't already know? KovoWolf has been a part of the Community Volunteer team for over 4 years and during her time infected everyone with her positive attitude and love for the DA community.  While she spent most of her time representing the Anthro community, you would have also seen her active in the forums, leading countless projects and hosting an array of community contests.  She's also solely responsible for making my meeting logs look pretty :D

While we're going to miss her boundless energy on the team, I know she's not going to be far but please take a moment to say 'Thank You' to this dynamic deviant!

We love you

Introducing griffsnuff

:icongriffsnuff:

My name is Tina, and I am a bubbly happy artist from Norway who enjoy sharing and learning more about art. I have been drawing my whole life and it is probably thanks to my mom that I kept on drawing. She has always been my biggest supporter and encouraged me to keep drawing.

I joined DeviantArt in 2005, and that is also were I have met my best friends, learned most about myself and my art. Meeting new people from so many different parts of the world and with so many ideas, is really inspiring to me and has made me work and try a lot of different things through my years, I also worked as a concept artist on Among the sleep and that taught me a lot about design which is my favorite part of art besides colors.

I also would like to say thank you for the enormous support and love I have gotten from this community, your words and ideas have inspired me to do so many things, and being able to create art that gives others joy, is worth every second I spend on here and on the art I make!

December 2015

griffsnuff is a widely recognized member of the DeviantArt community! A deviant for over 10 years, she's made a huge impact on the chibi and adoptable communities. Her bright colors and distinct line art give her artwork a unique and instantly recognizable look. She's always willing to answer questions and has created an extensive collection of tutorials to aid fellow artists.  We're proud to name griffsnuff as the Deviousness Award recipient for December 2015.

It is always a treat to find art work from griffsnuff appear in my feed. If you take a peek at her gallery, her artwork is colorful, clean, and also fun in nature. It is inspiring to see how much she has grown from her works in 2005 until now and her tutorial folder is well organized. From experience, I know that tutorials can take ages to create and the fact that she has more than a handful available as free resources is fantastic and shows her willingness to share her knowledge. Some are quite comical too! Thank you for being an inspirational role model to many on DeviantArt and also for being part of this community, griffsnuff! You deserve this.

I am inspired whenever I explore griffsnuff's gallery. It always excites me to see her drawings pop up in my DeviantArt feed, with their beautiful designs, vibrant palettes, and whimsical character designs. In addition to being a wonderfully talented artist, griffsnuff is a down to Earth friendly person who consistently reaches out to the community with fun journals, polls, and events. Her amazing passion for her craft is a big motivation for me and I'm sure for many others in the community. Congratulations, griff!

griffsnuff is one of the most inspiring artists around DeviantArt!!! Love From the color palettes, the lovely expressions of the characters, everything griffsnuff creates is pure joy to the eye!!! I'm very happy to see this award bestowed on griffsnuff, this friendly, amazing artist who selflessly provides sweet little chibi linearts for the entire community to enjoy and color!!! Deviousness is an even sweeter concept today, thanks to griffsnuff !!! Congratulations my friend!!!

griffsnuff definitely has some weight to her name. She's been at the front of the market for commissions for as long as she's been in my watch list. I often see updates from her in my message center and get super curious about what she has to offer and what she's provided recently. Her artwork is simply astounding, and on top of that, she's super friendly and approachable. She always seems pretty eager to answer questions or lend a hand when someone needs real advice from someone who knows what they're doing, and it's pretty hard to find that in serious artists nowadays. She is truly a gem.

Starlord, I mean griffsnuff, is among my favorite artists. I enjoy her art, from the silliest critter to the full detailed pieces; it is fun and can brighten a moody day. I admire her for doing what she likes instead on just focusing on making serious realistic art. griffsnuff is not only skilled; she also makes time to interact with her watchers, making her stand out from many popular artists. I am inspired by her and her work. griffsnuff is a teacher too! I've learned many things from her live art streams and tutorials. From her, I've learned tips and tricks about art, animation and even webpage coding. I appreciate all those things and I believe that griffsnuff is a key member for the DeviantArt community and fully deserves the Deviousness Award!

I came across the art of griffsnuff while searching for a whimsical style, and I just love the way she uses shapes, color and subject matters. The consistency in her gallery is also something that made me watch her, she has a definitive style that I really enjoy!

griffsnuff has come a long way in the years I have known her. Her creatures are super cute and well designed. She's very active in the DA community, and her posts are usually quite funny. She totally deserves the Deviousness award! Congratulations!

Congratulations to griffsnuff!
