In true deviantArt fashion I'm deviating from my series, briefly, though not intentionally.

I was toying with my inspiration to shoot my umbrella superstition and after an hour of frustration with the boring state of the average umbrella.. lights were shining, umbrellas were spinning.. and the shutter was opened.

Experimenting with different concepts and ideas is one of the deep benefits of photography. I put a lot of myself into every shot and it connects with me on a very personal level. What fascinates me even more, is to hear your interpretations of it. Lesson learned today, 'Don't be afraid to play'

I hope this makes sense, but something in this photo makes it look curved when looking at the thumbnail image. That's an incredible feat, you've successfully created an illusion! The composition here is truly unique, and your use of the umbrella is brilliant. If I had the money this is something I'd put on wall. Congrats! :clap:

It is very hypnotising. I also think the way its been composed it seems to draw me into the picture. I really like this :)

experimentation can lead to some very interesting things. this is one of them. i liked it even from the thumbnail. can't say it makes me dizzy. it does make me smile. i like the little metal tip at the top(end?) of the umbrella, but i wish it had come in a little clearer. hard to do when it's spinning i imagine.

i dunno if it's the heat, my extra creamy kraft dinner that i think i failed at making properly, or the twirliness of this photo... but i feel woozy :O_o:

but that doesn't stop this from being a very cool photo :nod:

made me woozy shooting it.

Someone actually bought a big print of it for the sole reason that it made them woozy.. I hope it doesn't go in their bathroom :)

hmmm...i'd need to put it somewhere I couldn't possibly see it while eating....and while trying to walk up or down the stairs (I fell down the stairs last night while carrying dishes :sniff: nothing broken, but it was kind of scary..) ...which really only leaves the bathroom....or a certain wall in the living room so long as I make sure I never sit facing that wall at the dining table ;) (don't need the woozy feeling whlie trying to eat :dizzy: )
