Lots of interesting factoids about this phobia which I find very interesting....

And how a baker's dozen is 13, but that came from a funky wives tale that ended up springing forth in fruition. I can not remember it completely, or maybe I am just too damn tired, but it was something to the effect that higher middle class or upper class would have a lower class maid/gofer whatever they were called then to go to the bakery and get the pastry goods for the day. The baker would not give this maid/gofer a free pastry, even though she emplored with the baker on how they would eat all of the pastries when she got back. I think somewhere in there she had not eaten in a while and she was starving...man I really should come back to this when I am more awake. But anyways for entertianment value, the baker did not give her the pastry and she left. As she left she placed a curse on the baker, bad stuff must have obviously happened to the guy because word got around about the curse and all the bakers in town chose to make a "baker's dozen" which is 13 pastries and not twelve.

If that is totally wrong, then please just get a good laugh from it, I know I will laugh at this later when i come back to give a proper comment.

this is so cool...i just had a long convo with my g-friend about how i used to be superstitious of 13
because of the brainwashing that they instill during elementary school...but from my late teens on i've grown to love 13 and it's mystique!
oh...and... because this rocks as much as you do!

Of course, it's always been a lucky number for me, having been born on the 13th (that, and Loki is my spirit guide, ). I associate much good feelings with that number, proving once again that reality is a tricksy, subjective enterprise, requiring rational comprehension not at all...
