It was hard not to fall in love with her. I found her in Kensington Market in Toronto and watched her chalking the side of the building while her family sold their wares in the marketplace. I'd been focused on her for about 15 minutes when she finally turned. She came over to see the picture when I was done and decided she looked pretty enough for me to keep it.
I love children.

I don't now what techneque means when it comes to a photograph ><' So I just thought of the models unknowingness XD ------ Awesome Things: IMPACT I don't know if you took the picture because you saw meaning behind it, or you thought this would make a great shot, but I think both come into play. One could see the picture as someone making a difference, and being different. Because unlike the graffiti behind what she is drawing, her's has color and life in it. Or how she is showing art and not anything else really. Originality: I thought this was quite original =3 I don't know why, but I thought these was taken somewhere poor... I guess it was when I first looked at it the boxes looked like trash >>. But all in all its original ^^ I like it. Technique: I guess her not knowing about it was both good and bad, because sometimes the best pictures are taken when the model doesn't know it is being taken. I like her expresion, because it makes it look like she was surprised by us catching her drawing on the walls or something. Its very natural. And its cute how you said she let you keep it because she thought she looked pretty XD. Vision: ... Looks great XD It seems bright to me, but it doesn't take away from anything, and I think it is just my screen. XD ---- Bad stuff: The boxes drive me crazy... I don't really know why XD Maybe I think they are messy and want organize them or recycle them. But they don't take away from the picture that much either. I guess the boxes help give the feel that she is a light in a dark room? I know they were there when you took the picture. ------- Did my best. Not use to curtiquing much photos ><
Amazing shot! It is so simple theme, but it is tells so much! I am adore how you succeed to captured young artist in here creative work! She looks so amazed, perhaps by you, kind of asking permission to continue drawing and create something new, something amazing!
Wonderful composition in photography! Beautiful color world create interesting atmosphere! Everything breathe with life but also its feel how you taking position on environmental problems that we have here on our mother earth! Every day created more and more trash that slowly destroy planet! And this young person drawing something with green a color that is also kind of symbolic, that new generation take seriously environmental problems and want changes! Absolutely great picture!
This is a really beautiful photograph - the bright spots of colour really draw the eye, and contrast well against the urban surroundings. I can see why fell in love with her - well done!
i know it's a pretty old picture... but it just inspired me! almost forgot how da can get someone's creative juices going...
i mean i was looking at this girl and wondering who she was... why was she all by herself and what would make her want to paint on that particular wall and those rectangular colorful patterns... and why did she stand on that box to do it...
