Introducing PirateLotus-Stock
Hello, my name is Erin! I’m a stock artist, seamstress, crafter, and baker, among other things, but stock is my main focus here on DeviantArt. I have been on DA since 2007, where I first learned about what stock is and had the opportunity to use stock from some of the amazing artists here. I wanted to join in on the fun, so in 2008, I made my own stock account where I’ve been partying ever since. I love the stock community! Everyone is very welcoming, patient, and giving, and I’m so proud to be a part of this group of people.
In 2012, I was given the opportunity to be a CV for my favorite gallery and I eagerly joined the team. Getting to work with people from different galleries gave me an appreciation for the other parts of DA that I never would have had otherwise. I got to hear about troubles and successes from all the other galleries, all in one place, and even help out a bit.
It was rough at times, as it is a lot of responsibility, but I would definitely recommend applying if you love your gallery as much as I do mine! Not only did I get to steer my gallery in the right direction, but I met some wonderful people and got to work closely with them and have a broader view of the site as a whole. It was a great experience and I am so thankful I got to have it. I’ve made friends from all around the world, staying up late talking to them, even going to other countries to visit some of them! DeviantArt has opened the doors to some fantastic opportunities I never expected.
Thank you so much for choosing me for this honor! Interacting with the community is my favorite part of being on DeviantArt, and I feel like this recognition is showing me I am doing something right 
Deviousness Award Winner
PirateLotus-Stock is standout member of DeviantArt’s stock community for the past nine years, due to her friendly demeanor and many contributions. With nearly 2,000 stock images, she’s provided invaluable resources for her fellow artists to use in creating their own artwork. In 2012, PirateLotus-Stock joined the CV team, where she contributed to her favorite community by moderating the stock gallery.
During her time as a volunteer, she went above and beyond to educate the community as a whole to the value of stock resources, as well as posting educational tips and tricks. While she’s no longer a community volunteer, she still finds ways to engage the community through stock-inspired contests. We’re delighted to award such a positive light in our community the Deviousness Award for September 2016!
