Deviousness Award

Deviousness Award
It is not often we bestow deviousness upon someone who is already a member of staff, but sometimes you need to bend those rules when there are exceptions to the rule like $Moonbeam13. She has been heading up the crew of Gallery Directors as head of Artist Relations for going on a year now, listening to suggestions from the community, enacting her own ideas, getting input from the volunteers, and bringing you massively cool contests. And that’s just some of the things she gets done in a single day. It is with great pride and a huge vote of “thanks” that we give deviousness to $Moonbeam13 on the verge of our 6th Anniversary!

Hello, I am wondering if I could suggest a DD. If so, is there a special place to, do I send you a note, or just comment?

Thanks in advance!
Pascua-Tanya Featured By Owner 3 days ago  Hobbyist Digital Artist

Suggestions for DD should be sent by notes to the Community Volunteers of dA. To send your suggestion you should follow these steps:

1-Check out the category of the deviation that you want to suggest as DD.

2- Go to Community Relations and look at the profile of the group to find the blog "Community Relations Team", which is the list of volunteers who accept DD Suggestions. In this list you should look for the category of the deviation to find the Volunteers that supervise the category. Choose any of them, to who want to send your suggestion (You can only post your suggestion for a volunteer in the same category. Hence if a category has 3 Volunteers, you only can send your suggestion to one of them).

3-Go to their profile and click the "Send a Note" button to send the note. As title you can write "DD Suggestion". The note should include the thumbnail of the deviation (shown with Thumb code found in the "Details" section within the deviation) and a description of why you think this deviation should be a DD. The latter is optional but many volunteers like to receive reasons, of because suggest, in their suggestions.

More about how Suggest DDs:

Suggesting DDs For Dummies

If the category of a deviation you want to suggest, not has a Volunteer, you can send your suggestions to Moonbeam13, through a note. You must follow all the steps above and mention the category of the deviation that you want to suggest.

I hope you serve :).

Hi, I need some help.
Is there any way to get a free premium, like, say, from a competition on dA? I would just like to get some but I don't know the name of these competitions. I want to become a Beta tester and volunteer, but I need premium membership, and I have heard of these competitions.

Please get back to me as soon as you can!
Pascua-Tanya Featured By Owner 6 days ago  Hobbyist Digital Artist

On dA there are a variety of contests in which you can find a Premium Membership as main prize . You can find the contests of your interest in this new directory:

Contest Directory by dAhub

Look for a contest by its name, the start date and the closing date, by category and prizes. No need of select all filters. If you select the prize "Premium Member" and press the "Search" button, you can find contests that offer Premium Memberships as prizes. Choose the competition of your interest and participates ^^.

I think the Contest Directory has an error but errors in dA are solved by themselves (If not settled, you must send a report to Help Desk). If not, I recommend you review AnotherContestGroup, the official group  of Contests on dA and responsible for introducing new competitions in the directory. In the "Journal" section of the group you can find several lists of recent competitions. I invite you to check.

You can also search competitions in the Journal Portal. Enter "Premium Contest" or just "Contests" in the search engine and click "Search". To see the most recent contests I recommend using the filter "Newest" of the page. Searching through the word "Contests" you can find many competitions and the good thing is that most of them offer Premium Memberships as prizes. But if the error of "Contest Directory" is solved, you can search specific contests from there.

Now, I offer an alternative of competition to win a Premium Membership. If you still do not want to participate in competitions in which you must perform a drawing, I recommend you participate in Giveaways. Do not have to submit a drawing for participate, but you can participate with a number that gives you the organizer. Winners are chosen with page, throwing random numbers. Thus choose the winners at random and in an unbiased manner. There are many raffles that offer points as a prize and sometimes offer Memberships. The Journal Portal uses the words "Premium Membership Giveaway" or "Premium Giveaway", applying filter "Newest", and appear several raffles in which you can participate :) ^^.

Once you have your Membership, you can be a Beta Tester. And to be a Volunteer in dA you must read the following:

FAQ #85: Can I be a volunteer on deviantART?

(To be Volunteer you must submit an application on the link found in the FAQ. Moonbeam13 is the person who is responsible for selecting new volunteers)

Here is explained about of the Volunteers: Volunteer's work on dA, Requirements for be a Volunteer and two guides highly recommended to read of RockstarVanity and Thiefoworld , which contain valuable tips about what to do to help others and become a guide guiding light, a leader for the deviantART Community, without be a official Volunteer. If you want to be a Volunteer at dA, I recommend you start now to make your contributions to the Community. Do not do it just to be an acquaintance name or just to have the title of Volunteer. Do it if you really love the community, love the arts and if you really like to help the community.  Best results are obtained if you do things for a good cause ;).

A list of available vacancies: The Community Relations Team

I hope this serves you ^^
