Donor Support Funds Breakthrough

In an incredible announcement today, two renowned Cancer researchers, announced an extraordinary breakthrough in the development of Cancer drugs.

What's extra-remarkable about this discovery is that it was fully funded by the donor dollars raised through the Walk to End Women's Cancers that I participate in every year.

“The incredible fact that this drug has been developed solely with donor and grant dollars makes it an even more extraordinary accomplishment,”

It's also amazing that this drug has shown to help in the battle against far more than Women's Cancers.

This new drug, CFI-400945, will enter clinical trials phase in the months ahead. In the lab, it has been shown to effectively inhibit the growth of human breast and ovarian cancers as well as colorectal, glioblastoma, lung, melanoma, pancreatic and prostate cancers.

My heart is literally bursting out of my chest.

Obviously, I truly believe in the work being done at the Princess Margaret Hospital and I trust in the way the organization utilizes the funds that are raised, or I wouldn't be prepping to walk for my 11th year.

I can tell you, without hesitation, that I truly believe that this group is going to help to find and end to Cancer in my lifetime.

It is not often we bestow deviousness upon someone who is already a member of staff, but sometimes you need to bend those rules when there are exceptions to the rule like $Moonbeam13. She has been heading up the crew of Gallery Directors as head of Artist Relations for going on a year now, listening to suggestions from the community, enacting her own ideas, getting input from the volunteers, and bringing you massively cool contests. And that’s just some of the things she gets done in a single day. It is with great pride and a huge vote of “thanks” that we give deviousness to $Moonbeam13 on the verge of our 6th Anniversary!
